Site Standards

Every effort has been made to ensure that [Indology.info] can be used by as many people as possible.

The site follows [World Wide Web Consortium] (W3C) standards. Site documents have been formally validated using an SGML or XML Parser. [Cascading Style Sheets] (CCS) have been checked for standards compliance. In addition, Indology.info is being brought into conformance with [W3C Accessibility Guidelines]. This site should therefore support any browser that conforms to these standards and guidelines.

Indology.info has been developed on [Sun Microsystems] [Solaris 10] and [FreeBSD] 5.4-STABLE. It has been tested with the following web browsers: [Mozilla] (1.7) for the Sun Java Desktop System and FreeBSD; [Firefox] (1.0.4) and [Opera] (8.0) for FreeBSD; and MS [Internet Explorer] for MS Windows.

Site menus and sub-menus can be accessed using short cut or access keys. Access keys appear immediately after the middle dot following a menu title. Invocation of keys depends on the underlying system. Under MS Windows, one generally has to press the "alt" key in addition to the access key. Under Apple systems, one generally has to press the "cmd" key in addition to the access key.
