Sanskrit manuscript of Patañjali's Yogasûtras

The images below are part of an ongoing experiment in providing Web access to Sanskrit manuscripts. If you look at these images, or use them in some way, please drop me a note to give me your reactions to this: Dominik WUJASTYK Dominik WUJASTYK email address. Is it worthwhile to have such images available in this way? Are the images too big, the wrong resolution? The two pages are different sizes and resolutions: which do you like best? Why? Should they be TIFF, JPEG, or some format other than GIF? Need they be in colour: would black and white be adequate? And most important, what use will you make of these images? Can you read them? Do you want more? Which texts? Why?

Here is a manuscript of the Patañjali's Yogasûtras. It is from the [Wellcome Library for the History and Understanding of Medicine] and its shelf mark is MS Indic alpha 997. It is complete in eight folios.
