This is another distribution of the TeX Devanagari system by Frans Velthuis.

This release (29 November 1995) is merely a repackaging of the fonts,
programs and macros, in order to fit neatly with the emTeX distribution
of TeX for DOS and OS/2 done by Eberhard Mattes.  If you have emTeX,
you can just unpack devnag-emtex.zip by saying
    unzip devnag-emtex
while in the root directory of your disk (say, C:\).

The various files for supporting Devanagari will be unpacked to their
appropriate places (\emtex\texinput\devnag, etc.).

Also included are ready-made bitmaps of the fonts (PK files) for use 
with the Hewlett Packard LaserJet (300dpi).  These are in subdirectories
under \texfonts\pixel.lj.  

One more addition is an executable version of devnag.c for OS/2 (in addition
to the DOS one).

This version of Frans's Devanagari is the one which supports hyphenation.
